A grand antique Victorian guard chain from the late 19th Century consisting of solid 15ct gold cable links, leading to a claw clasp at the bottom that would have traditionally been adorned with a pocket watch, lorgnette, or muff.
It measures an impressive 60 inches in length and has a good, solid weight to it. It can be worn as one long chain or looped twice around the neck if preferred.
